Freeform Help Needed

First, we are having difficulty with collaboration in Freeform with MAIDs. Please provide troubleshooting successes for this.

Second, what is the best workflow for student submission of Freeflow assignments/projects to teachers? Our teachers are not using Schoolwork. (One teacher asked me the best way to turn it in on Google Classroom). Please reply with tips and tricks for workflow.

Thank you!!

Hi Kara, there are a few things that might be causing this. The first is to check on your Apple School Manager to ensure that iCloud Collaboration is enabled. Log in to ASM and then select Access Management. From here go onto Apple Services and check that iCloud Collaboration is enabled. Sometimes switching from Organisation Only to Anyone can help as well. Let me know if that works? We've got it working nicely with our MAIDs.

Secondly I tend to do one of two things. I either get the students to export their board as a PDF to then share with me via Showbie (or something similar) as a normal file. Howver if it's a really interactive board with videos or something I might then ask them to invite me as a collaboratot.

Hope that helps,

Jacob

Thank you very much! I shared this with our tech director and he checked the settings. Our district will not change it to anyone for student privacy and safety reasons. However, it appears that everyone hadn't updated their iOs and updating seems to have helped the process.

I have created QR codes for students to join a collaborative Freeform board!

Agreed with Jacob that I would have them export it as a PDF, or even screen record going through their board and explaining different parts. Either of these should be able to be turned in on Google Classroom.
