Stop motion app suggestions

Hello! I’m currently teaching a “Digital Storytelling with Stop Motion Videos” middle school elective class. I used the free iMotion app for over 8 years and when we opened it today, the students couldn’t see any of their projects and it only showed us a sign in page. I loved this app because it was so user friendly but now with the new update, it looks like we need accounts. I would prefer an app that doesn’t make us sign in to use it.

Can someone please suggest another app for stop motion videos for students that you recommend? Free with no ads or affordable would be great. I have a quick turn around because we have the class again next week so I am doing my own research, but would love your suggestions. I need an app that ends up creating the video for you as opposed to taking all the photos with the camera and dropping them into iMovie or Keynote.

Thank you for your help!

Megan

Stop Motion Studio and Flip a Clip are favorites of the students on my middle school campus (though Flip a Clip is more drawing-based).

Thank you so much! Do you use the free Stop Motion Studio app or the paid version? I appreciate your suggestions.

We use the free version of Stop Motion Studio. Another free option I totally forgot about is KOMA KOMA Stop Motion! It's also very user-friendly.
