AI in Education

How do we educators feel about AI in Education? Whether it is in our preparation and planning or in our students' use of it in the classroom?

Interested in hearing

  • your policy
  • your school policy
  • integration methods
  • classroom rules in implementation
  • .... anything really

It is an issue currently affecting Australian education in all sectors.

I currently use AI in planning and preparation. My classroom policy states that AI is a research tool. My students still need to rework that research so they understand it (I'm dealing with early teens, so language structure is usually easy to spot as AI).

I am currently working on a personal project to create a Music Unit Digital Workbook (for distance learning) using AI assistance (Siri, Grammarly, ChatGPT, and MS Copilot) and Apple Pages. I'll post the result when it's complete, and I'll be happy to share.

Please share your perspectives. Curious... 👍
