Throw Away Your Whiteboard! A journey to digital whiteboards using iPad, Keynote and Apple Pencil
This is my story of how I threw away my whiteboard in favour of an iPad and Keynote - including some of the amazing success I have had with this! I became frustrated with my students taking a picture of my whiteboard and the image being low quality and getting lost in a camera roll.
This is when I discovered the power of Keynote as a digital whiteboard. This tool has become invaluable during remote learning due to the pandemic and many teachers at Portsmouth College are now using this technique both in class as well as online. I still use this technique every day in my lessons and it has transformed my teaching as well as the way my students learn.
I hope you enjoyed this brief outline of my journey and it inspires you too.

Such a big fan of your ideas, this book and the story you tell through it, Chris!
Amazing work! 🤩
Couldn't have done it without your support Eoin.
This is great! Definitely going to try this soon with my High School kiddos!
Amazing! Let me know how you get on with it! Reach out if you need help or guidance.
This is such a great resource for any classroom and what a great time of year to share. I love how this approach can connect to so many content areas. Maybe an added tag for literacy could help with visibility? Thanks for creating and sharing! 🙏🏻
This reminds me of year ago when I was teaching with mini whiteboards and everyone had to show their whiteboard to each other, not Apple Classroom is great for this!
