Keynote Hologram Projector: Template and Resources
Captivate students imagination and knowledge with this hologram activity.
Using the hologram resources I created, students were challenged to illustrate and animate their chosen Matariki star on Keynote - summarising their learning of the characteristics of the star using colours, patterns and animations. With the resources I created below, students and teaching staff can follow step by step instructions on how to complete their own hologram using Keynote and the Hologram Projector. Using the hologram template, you too can make your own hologram projector.
In New Zealand we celebrate the Māori New Year, Matariki - the beginning of the Māori lunar calendar. During Matariki we celebrate the 9 stars of Matariki.
There are many places you can take this activity using the hologram resources I have created. For example: planets, life cycle of plants and the water cycle. I was inspired by Paul Hamilton, who has shared his own hologram examples via his twitter.
Resources you will need to create your own hologram projector:
- A3 Laminating sheets
- OHP sheets
- Marker pen
- Scissors
- Cellotape

This is such a great example of how blending digital and physical experiences creates an amazing learning opportunity for students! I love the theme of this lesson--thanks for sharing!
