Creating A Folktale Movie Storyboard
A co-worker shared an idea that incorporated iMovie/ Storyboard and summarizing a folktale. I borrowed her idea and this is my spin on it:
Students chose different versions of The Three Little Pigs or another folktale.
After reading their choice of folktale they then created a 4 square based on their folktale (Somebody, Wanted, But, So) with 1 sentence per box and an illustration in each box.
After sharing the 4 squares in small groups we created an
iMovie Storyboard in the iMovie app. The format used was based on the 4 square. Students were able to include their own illustrations and some illustrations from their book.
This was a simple and creative project for 3 rd graders.
