March 2023 Release

Our latest release was completed on March 30, 2023, with 27 enhancements being deployed. Many of these are behind-the-scenes updates that enhance user experience in Community, including support for data privacy, filtering and sorting of content, and content moderation. Here are some of the more notable changes that users will see in the Community:

Tags upgrades

Tags on Forum content are now linked to tag pages, which show all posts similarly tagged. When authoring posts, users will also now see a set of suggested tags based on the content, which can easily be added to their post.

Expanded featured images

Featured images and brief descriptions can now be added to all post types (previously only on the story post type). This will enhance users’ sharing of content on social media and support content being highlighted across the Forum.

New attachment types

Forum posts now support M4V, MP3, and Common Cartridge attachments.

Media and user privacy

Per privacy requirements, users must grant express permission when accessing content from third-party applications (such as YouTube, Twitter, Vimeo). Users will now see new messaging requesting permission to view embedded media; their decision will persist for the browser session.
