Eight Great Elementary Learning Strategies using Keynote

Graphic sharing Eight Strategies for Using Keynote in Elementary

A while back I was planning a session on Keynote for elementary teachers for a conference. I wanted to clearly show that Keynote lets you do much more than create a presentation. I came up with eight strategies - all that nicely end in the letters "ION." I made this graphic as part of the presentation that I put together with a fellow teacher from my school to give at a conference.

It really helped me to visualize a list of these powerful learning strategies as individual skills. Then the next step was to think about how to layer these skills together creatively to help our students share what they are learning. It also helped me as a teacher to think about all the different ways I can use Keynote as part of my teaching toolbox.

Here is a link to the presentation slides: https://www.slideshare.net/kbosch/eight-great-elementary-learning-strategies-using-keynot

It includes examples of ways that we have used Keynote for each of these strategies. There are lots of examples of student work in the presentation - simple things as well as more complex projects.  Hopefully it will inspire some out of the box thinking of ways to use Keynote that are NOT a presentation!

Do you have any "ION" words that you would add to the strategy list??

This is so interactive and a fantastic way to model how a given technology tool like Keynote is flexible for teaching and learning. What a great resource for your colleagues--and the Community!--to explore.
