Using Augmented Reality and AR Makr when teaching in the North of Ireland

The curriculum in the North of Ireland is excellent at giving children the opportunity to be creative.

Augmented reality fits so well in the classroom in this part of the world. Teachers can use augmented reality to allow children to explore the school community and bring alive so many areas of the curriculum like literacy, numeracy and the world around us.

One day children could be searching the school grounds for Viking artefacts. The next day they could be simulating their Space Shuttle take-off. The following week they could create their own immersive mental maths game using augmented reality.

In this video below you will see how you can use the iPad and the AR Makr app to set up a very popular story scene from The Three Little Pigs to develop early literacy skills.

I hope it helps!
