Thanks Karen, your workshops are always so inspirational and your strategies so helpful. Plus I love your art! The Keynote learning journal is a great idea. Certainly one I’ll use at my next workshop.

Show What You Know: Learning Strategies using Apple Pencil
I had a great time on Friday leading a teacher workshop with a nearby elementary school over learning strategies for using Apple Pencil . After exploring the settings for the Apple Pencil, we dug deep into strategies for annotation and illustration and explored lesson ideas. Teachers created a "Learning Journal" in Keynote where they could post their projects and ideas. I created a sketchnote to summarize the main ideas that were covered in the workshop to help visualize what we had learned:
I put together a resource page for the workshop. It includes links to the apps we used, my slide deck, video tutorials, and other helpful resources. You may find something there that inspires your thinking or would be helpful as you plan your lessons.

Thanks, Cheryl! I do try to "sketchnote" my images in my presentations as a way to practice what I preach! I think it helps participants see in a concrete way how drawing can help to visualize and remember ideas.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful collection of Apple Pencil and sketching resources with us, Karen! I love how your videos and other content are useful for both teachers and students of all levels of comfort with technology.

I love this. Using Apple Pencil is a focus in our diocese at the moment, showing educators why they should be investing. It has so much potential. Thanks for sharing!
