Daffodil Journal

Spring has sprung… almost! We’re due to get snow next week, but the daffodils my little learners planted last year have now started to bloom.

We’ve been watching the shoots for weeks now, waiting for the little flowers to appear. Last week we saw some yellow! In preparation for a flowerbed of daffodils, I made this Daffodil Journal to help my class journal their observations.

Using skills from Everyone Can Create, we’re going to organise our thinking, draw, markup, make a podcast and do some augmented reality. Just sharing my Pages journal here in case it’s of use to anyone else who is also waiting patiently for little yellow flowers!

I love the creativity that iPad allows me to take these life experiences, record them, share their observations and level up their learning in the process.

Amazing. Thanks for sharing. It must be the time. It’s all about sunflowers in Qld Australia. Beginning of Autumn 😍🌻

This community is amazing. Love the inspiration its sparks and the welcoming opportunity to innovate with things shared by others. It’s all about sunflowers 🌻 where I live and this was the perfect scaffold to use to learn by doing. So quick to adapt for my context. My next weeks planning is done 🙌🏻 #everyonecancreate Thanks Karen and my friend #kazzazsnaps for the beautiful photography.

Karen, this is fabulous. I love the organization of the journal and how it encourages to students to observe, connect, communicate, and share using so many avenues of the iPad. Of course, as an artist/art teacher, you had me at take your iPad outside and draw! 😆
