Third grade math- My students practiced decomposing irregular shapes to find area. Students acted as doctors to preform "shape surgery" and entered their answers using the Numbers template that is attached. The numbers templates is self-checking with the use of conditional formatting. (if the answer is correct the cell turns green for total area) Instructions for the activity are included in the printable file.
