One Best Thing Project: Elements of Effective PL Design

Designing Professional Learning that is relevant, effective and a good use of time is something I’ve been really interested in for a while. For the Apple Distinguished Educator Program #onebestthing project this year my idea was to take some of the research and condense it into a practical guide and journal to support others like me who design and deliver PL regularly. It’s been great to combine my Masters research into a love of sharing content in a range of formats. The book, which contains links to the accompanying journal and additional resources, is now available to download from the Books store.

Congratulations, Angela. This is a fantastic resource and reflects the huge amount of effort that went into creating this. I have already downloaded it so can't wait to explore the 11 areas. Every educator who delivers PD needs to take a look!

It seems to be the day for One Best Thing projects! 3 Apple Books published in a row!

Well done!

Thorough, interactive and effective Angela! Such a good piece for those of us delivering professional learning. I love the quotes that start off each section providing the “why”. Beautifully designed and organized. Thank you!
