Trigonometry Keynote Project

Earlier this semester our Geometry team met with the CTIS's on our campus to brainstorm about a project we could have the students do for our Trigonometry unit. We decided it would be a great idea to have our students use Keynote to present themselves explaining the thought process they went through when drawing and solving a real-world application problem involving Trig. The live video feature in Keynote is a tremendous tool and so easy for students to use to verbally explain their learning which is a current initiative on our campus.

Below you will find instructions for how to use keynote and the live video feature, instructions for the actual project and possible problems you can give the students to use in the project.

*When the time came around for our team to do this project we had just finished a unit and the students didn't do well on their exam. The teachers had to call an audible and add in an extra intervention day which cut into the time of the project. Kids weren't able to use Keynote like we envisioned, but thus is the life of an educator. This layout is how we had planned to use the project, but just know that you can take this idea and mold it to fit the current reality of your classroom.*
