Storyboarding and Silent Films

Welcome to the first part of our three-part journey into the world of silent films!

In this lesson, students will dive into the concepts and importance of silent film while mastering the basics of storyboarding as a crucial planning tool, completed fully on the iPad.

Through engaging demonstrations using clips from classic silent films, students will grasp key concepts and techniques essential for crafting their own silent film narratives. This hands-on approach will inspire creativity as students brainstorm and develop their storyboards, giving them the opportunity to visualize their ideas and plan their productions effectively.

To aid in this process, I have created and provided a user-friendly Keynote Template, allowing students to structure and organize their storyboards with ease.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in peer review sessions, offering constructive feedback and refining their storytelling skills collaboratively.

This immersive experience promises to not only deepen students' understanding of silent film but also empower them with essential skills in visual storytelling and collaboration.
