As a pianist and music educator, I always come up with a lot of ideas that I would like to share, but then I get stuck on how to craft them? will they reach the audience? what is the best medium to convey the message? what is my purpose? and I find myself going in a loop!
I was so grateful to attend my very first Canadian Academy this week and I attended storytelling sessions and it was an AMAZING experience. Some awesome ADE's shared their expertise in how to shape your story and also shared some top tips that really helped me with my thinking process. As I consolidate my learning as a visual learner, I created visual sheets of my main takeaways and I would love to share it with the community. I'm going to use these sheets with my students and my own work on how I produce my music stories. This is a work in progress but my focus will be on the process not the product. So in the attachments you will see:
- Steps of storytelling
- Tips on storytelling
- My reflection about the process after attending these sessions

Nice! I also support music teachers in their journey… I am interested in seeing how to take this up with them. Keep sharing. Your ADE friend from NB, Ginette
