@Dragon_Coach and I met at ADE institute in 2023 and have been working on compiling lessons for high school teachers using MacBooks or iPads in class. @Dragon_Coach uses MacBooks, and I use iPads, and in our collaboration, we realized that small adjustments can be made to apply the lessons in each environment. Over the next 30 days, we’ll post one lesson idea each day with tips on how to make it work in either environment you are teaching in.
High School Learning with Apple #13: French Home Tours
In this lesson students use Keynote, audio recordings, and animations to create a virtual tour of a French Home. Student will create rooms of their dream home and describe them in French using Keynote audio recordings.
*The audio for this example recording is created using the iPad Translate app.
The great thing about this lesson is that it could be used for any foreign language and on both iPad and MacBook.
📣 How could your students use audio recordings and animations in Keynote to share their learning?

Super activity for learning and practicing language. Love how the culture is also wrapped into the lesson with the building and touring of the French homes.
My favorite part from your movie is the use of the Translate App! So helpful in many ways. I just read another post that includes a nice story on how they have used the Translate app with multilingual learners: Sharing Student Voices with Translate. Certainly something for folks to also check out.
