Imaginative Story Journal

Pages is such a wonderful tool for developing future authors. Connecting the reading unit with writing imaginative stories or traditional tales, lead to creation of this Pages writing journal centered around students writing an imaginative narrative.

Writing Process

Using the provided pages, students can work through the writing process and keep all their thoughts organized in one file. From planning to drafting to editing and revising it can all exist in one place. Bonus that the spell check and grammar features help student's edit along the way.

Publishing

When ready, students select their narrative layout from the three templates provided in the file. Easily, they then copy and paste their writing into the template to speed up publishing with pre-formatted text boxes. Media place holder(s) are included to add graphics or visuals. Bonus - students can add their voices narrating the story.

This a great template and way to scaffold writing for students, Melissa!

I’ve become a big fan of templates over the past few years. It’s also a great way to be able to support and encourage colleagues who are little more resistant to introducing technology in the classroom. They don’t have to worry about designing it all themselves, and the template helps to structure the lesson so well for all.

And, I love that you give the option of adding audio narration too! 🙌
