Zooming in on Liberty with Freeform and AR

Using Freeform scenes is an excellent way to “zoom” in on a complex idea board demonstrating choices, challenges and student voice as students embark on a learning experience.

As an example, this Freeform board delves into the exploration of the American Statue of Liberty, examining its symbolism, structure, and history. To enhance the learning experience, the Apple AR app, the Statue of Liberty, can be seamlessly integrated into the lesson through the Freeform board.

Lessons like this can be introduced using a teacher-created Freeform board with pre-curated tour sections. As you explain the choices and lesson, use scenes to zoom in on each section of the board. Then, allow students to ask questions by adding sticky notes. They can select the topic they’re interested in investigating from the resources on the board and conduct their own investigation, sharing their findings.

Using Freeform as a lesson introduction is a great way to garner attention and curiosity.
