As part of our 4th grade Social Studies unit on New York State, students design and 3D-print their own raised-relief New York State maps using Tinkercad. This lesson blends research, geography, spatial reasoning, and creative design with hands-on 3D modeling skills.
Students work in pairs to research New York State’s major physical and human features, then translate that information into a 3D model that visually communicates what they’ve learned.
