The Power of Pages

Introduction:

This lesson contains Pages templates we use in junior level AP U.S. History classes and elementary art classes. These are examples of how Pages can be used to plan entire units/lessons.

Learning Intentions:

  • Students were overwhelmed by too many platforms/resources
  • We wanted everything in one easily accessible place
  • We needed structure that encouraged active note-taking and engagement
  • We’re fully utilizing the iPad’s potential with the Logitech Crayons.

How It Works:

  • Each unit has the same structure/format
  • Includes:
  • Unit overview & key concepts
  • Cornell Notes templates
  • Graphic organizers
  • Practice multiple choice
  • Reflections
  • Any other activities
  • Resources

Reflection:

  • Reduces stress for students & teachers
  • Better time management
  • Customizable
  • Great for exam prep
  • Fewer missing assignments
  • More thoughtful discussions & reflections

Recap:

Attached Files Explanation:

We have an overview page that goes through why we think these lessons are valuable. We also included a sample template from a unit in our AP U.S. History Course and a template used in an elementary art class.
