As someone who works with teachers who are new to iPad, it's important to get teachers comfortable and confident to not only know how to use iPad for learning and teaching experiences, but also how to set up classroom routines and manage iPad effectively in the classroom. After discussing with teachers who are starting their iPad 1:1 journey, we identified a gap from literally taking iPad out of the box to using Apple teacher and improving their iPad skill level.
As a solution, we produced a series called "Taking flight with iPad”. The Taking Flight with iPad Series has been designed to teach K-6 students how to care for iPad, and prepare and approach iPad for a day of learning in a fun and creative way. The activities also give students the foundational skills they need to express themselves through drawing, photography, video, and music on iPad.
The books take the students on a journey earning a stamp for their iPad Passport after conquering each iPad destination. We also produced a teacher guide to support the student books

I love the idea of an iPad Passport. You are right, too often we get iPads or technology in the classroom, but we forget to discuss the next steps. Which is what you have accurately packaged with these routines, strategies and skills. Well done 🙌
