Mars Colony Mission Patches: Created with Keynote & Laser Cut

Closing up my first quarter elective, Exploring Mars, I engaged my students in one more project based learning activity...

Create your own Mars Colony Mission Patch! Have a mission purpose, select some of your astronaut pals for the journey, and create with Keynote!

So, students used the Keynote software to build their mission patches after exploring the many, many, many mission patches that I have collected over the years.

I loved their designs! They were creative, fun, and easy to laser cut for a final token from our "Martian Class" (as they called it).

Dream, design, and DO! I love this project!

Here is a student Keynote image and some of the finished laser projects.

Mission Patches - what a great idea! The shapes in Keynote would make this really easy!
