I was just scrolling through the community and ran across Mary McEvilly's post Digital Drawing: Famous Artist Focus. One of the first lines in the presentation was "This is a famous artist. He isn't alive anymore but his work is still famous."
Then it hit me...what if this famous artist was alive today, how would he utilize today's technology into his art? That started me on a quick path with Keynote and AR MAKR.
The famous artist's name is Wassily Kandinsky and here's one of his famous pieces:
Using Keynote, I imported the artwork and used my Apple Pencil to make a trace of it. Below, you will see that I traced everything out in different layers. It'll make sense why in the end.
This last image was my only contribution to his work!
Once I created each slide (always set each slide background to 'no fill'), I exported the slides as images to be used in AR MAKR app.
Finished Product:
Hope this helps you incorporate new ways to make art in your communities!

Hi Burgess!
No way! I love how you have created this as an AR scene!
Would you believe that your example is an artwork a student created inspired by Wassily Kandinsky? He would be very impressed at what you’ve done. Love the layering! Well done!
