One of the challenges of using AI art generators has been generating images with accurate text. Although this has been improving in some tools recently, the results can still be jumbled or messy. So I was excited this morning when I discovered the FREE wordPOP app through an ad on Instagram.
The wordPOP app offers over 40 presets, including styles like 3D, fabric, grunge, and cartoon. You simply select a style, enter your desired text, and the app uses AI to generate a transparent image that you can download or copy/paste. If you don’t like the result, just tap the Regen button to remake it in a slightly different way using the same style. It’s fast, easy, and fairly accurate. It works best with short text (a few words), and while you can’t customize the presets, the variety still makes it fun to explore.
I’ll admit—I had a lot of fun testing it out! I can see teachers using this for bulletin boards, name tags, and fun titles on slides or documents. Personally, I know I’ll be using it for my digital journals, social media posts, and other creative projects.
You can check it out on the App Store here:https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wordpop-custom-font-and-text/id6745240526
As of July 21, 2025, it’s free to download and ad-free with no inapp purchases, though that may change in the future. I also noticed it’s from the same developer as Pic Collage—a longtime favorite among educators!
I’d love to hear your ideas—share in the comments how you might use wordPOP in your classroom!

Once again, thanks Karen for exploring and sharing your AI art gems! This looks pretty fun and very useful. Popping titles and fonts can really make a document or online message very engaging. I’m off to download this now!
