Schoolwork @ Bett London 2026 - Live Workshop

At BETT 2026 in London, we ran a hands-on workshop exploring how Apple technology supports effective teaching and learning in everyday classroom practice.

At the centre of the workshop was the Schoolwork app, a powerful but often underused tool that comes free with iPad and Apple School Manager.

What was covered in the workshop?

Participants experienced Schoolwork from both the teacher and student perspective, including:

• creating and delivering secure assessments using Assessment Mode

• setting up assignments with multiple materials, including app activities (e.g. Swift Playgrounds)

• using digital station work with Numbers documents to structure independent learning phases

• collecting exit tickets for feedback to reflect on understanding and lesson impact

• monitoring student progress in real time during independent and collaborative work

• reviewing submissions, giving immediate, personalised feedback, and analysing results

• sharing complete assignments with colleagues via iCloud, including all linked resources

Through practical demonstrations and short activities, the session showed how Schoolwork can simplify classroom workflows, support collaboration, and make learning more transparent for both teachers and students.

About the workshop facilitators:

The session was led by Jonas Kolbenschlag and Philipp Schied, secondary school and college teachers from Germany and founders of MKL – Medienkompetenzlehrer (www.medienkompetenzlehrer.de), an Apple Professional Learning Provider. Based on their classroom experience and extensive work with schools, they shared practical workflows teachers can use immediately.
