The teacher took a picture of each student with their iPad. The students opened the Freeform app and imported the photo into the app. Then, using the app's tools, they drew their favorite parts of their bodies.
APPS THAT WE USE:
- The first app we learned to use was "camera". We practiced on our iPads, learning how to take photos and videos.
- The second app we used was "Freeform App." Here, we first learned to distinguish the app's colors so we could click on the correct one. Once inside the app, we identified the "file icon", which includes all the photos from the camera roll, files and stickers. We selected the photos and exported them into the app. The students select the color they want.
What students learn:
- How to take photos
- Identify icons in the apps
- Understand the purpose of Play on camera
- Understand the purpose of Pause
- Export a photo in to the app
- Click to select colors
To finish our project we talk about our body parts and students reproduce the words in English.
This helps us appreciate ourselves and our bodies, this empowering students and making them aware of their self-love.
