Innovating a Maths Warm up Game using AR

I recently used a maths warm up game from the NZ Maths website called Bowl a Fact. It was a great game and I could see the learning potential from it. It used paper, counters and a dice and I couldn't help but think wether there was another, perhaps more engaging and innovative way to play this. It was this thinking process that led me to Reality Composer and transferring the game into Augmented Reality. Here is a video showing the result.

I was pleased with the result and so went back in the classroom and used it with a group of students. They were really excited to play and I could see the level of engagement soar. This is a great way to reinforce maths concepts. I have included a tutorial video on how I created it here:

Enjoy:)
