Countdown to Kindy!

It has been great to see the success of the Taking Flight with iPad Apple books series. I love to hear the feedback and how useful it has been to teachers and students.

Not only is it great to see people use the book, but for members of our team to be inspired by it and become published authors. Christy, our Education Officer for Early Years, got excited from the books and a professional learning session we had on using Pages. She decided to have a go and publish her own book. She was working on a project for new students and changed her original plan and wrote Countdown to Kindy

The blurb:

"Starting school is one of the most significant transitions in your child’s life and although they are probably feeling excited about what is to come, they might also be feeling a bit nervous!

After the busyness of Christmas, counting down together and sharing this special time as your child prepares will be helpful for you both.

Each day in the two weeks before your child starts, sit together and listen to our students as they help your child continue their transition journey. On every page, your child can click on the speaker image in the top right corner to listen to our students explain the activity for the day."

Countdown to Kindy is a super idea! So helpful for the transition into school. Congrats to Christy for taking a successful idea and pushing it forward to another audience.
