Utilizing Keynote for Psychology Topic Presentations
I am sharing a recent experience of working with some of my Introduction to Psychology students and assisting them with their final topic presentations. To begin, students are to select from a list of topics (e.g., Industry/ Organizational Psychology, Sport Psychology, Consumer Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Art Therapy, Positive Psychotherapy, Play Therapy, Neuropsychology). After a topic is selected, they are to use the following format to create a topic presentation:
•Overview of the Presentation
•Introduction of the topic with a definition
•Why is the topic important?
•Examples of the topic
•What kind of work is in the area that you are discussing?
•Conclusion and References
Through creating the presentations, some of my students have been allowed to utilize Keynote. The use of the Psychology Professional Keynote Template, this provided Keynote templates matching the psychology areas discussed. This creative element will make the students' presentations appealing and engaging for their classmates and for me, their instructor.
I look forward to the opening of the Apple Computer Lab at Compton College, as my students will be required to use Keynote for their final Psychology Topic Presentations.

Thanks for sharing how you're using Keynote with your students. Would love to see some of the content they've created if you'd be willing share some student-created work samples in the comments on this post!
