From Farm to Plate! Interactive Books to help students understand where their food comes from!

After learning how to make gifs using Procreate at ADE, I came back excited to create resources for my students to allow them to access content that was suitable for what we were learning in Design-Technologies. I shared my idea for the books with an eager previous colleague, and we used shared Pages documents and lots (and lots!) and FaceTime calls to create four different books. It was fun not only using my new gif making skills, but also to teach someone else how to make books!

The books explain the process corn, wheat, dairy and cane goes through to become popcorn, pasta, butter and sugar in terms suitable for kids aged 8-11 years.

Very fun books Melissa! Makes the content so teachable and the interactivity adds to the interest and engagement. Learners will enjoy reading these and also get a creative understanding of where the food they eat comes from!
