Owl Pellet Dissection

Students can use these digital Owl Pellet Dissection Mats to be able to help identify the bones they find in the owl pellets. Each mat has different areas of the skeleton to identify as well as the associated animal. If students are using iPads, have students take a picture or upload on in the media placeholders. You can also print out a blank map if you wanted them to physically place them as well. All of these mats are added as a slide when you add a slide.

What a great resource, Amanda! In my district, fifth graders get to dissect owl pellets. I love how you included media placeholders for students to easily import photo evidence of the skeletal parts they find. I will share this resource with the teachers I support - thank you!

Thank you so much! I am glad you have teachers who can benefit from the resource, too.
