Teach Me How to Keynote

I want teachers to see that iPads can be used for more than just consumption in the classroom, they can be used for creativity! What better way to convey this idea than to use my favorite creativity app, Keynote! I created these four Keynote task cards from activities I had done or ones I had found on the Forum and presented them to staff at three different schools during teacher inservice days at the beginning of the school year. After giving teachers a quick lesson on how to use the basic Keynote tools, I asked them to partner up, choose a task card, and get creating. Teachers were actively engaged and excited about their creations. We discussed different ideas on how they could take these projects back to their classrooms and implement them into their lessons. Multiple teachers asked for a copy of the cards so that they could have their students complete them as a way introduce the class to the magic of Keynote. Overall, it was a great success and it definitely topped the listed as my One Best Thing. But now it is your turn! Use these cards with your staff and/or students to jump start their engagement and creativity with Keynote!
