Choose from hundreds of included shapes that you can customize however you like. Or combine existing shapes to create your own custom shape, and save it for later use. Use shapes to support your writing with diagrams and illustrations, or simply to add a decorative touch to your document.
Add a shape. Tap Shape button in the toolbar.
Select a category or tap Search button to search for a specific shape. Tap a shape to add it to the page.
Customize the look of the shape. Tap Format button, then Style. Select from preset styles or tap any option to create your own look by changing the color, border, shadow, and so on.
Layer two shapes. Add another shape to the page, overlapping it with the first shape. Tap Format button, then tap Arrange. Drag the Move to Front/Back slider to change how the shapes are layered.
Combine shapes. Touch and hold the first shape, then tap the second shape so that both are selected. Tap Format button, then tap Arrange. Under Combine Shapes, tap Unite button, Intersect button, Subtract button, or Exclude button to combine the shapes, creating a new shape.
Save your new shape. Tap to select the new shape, then tap Add to Shapes from the menu that appears.
Find your custom shape. In the shapes library, tap the My Shapes category to find and use any of the shapes you created.
Illustrate a short story with shapes. Fill them with colors or textured photos that complement the mood or moral of the story.
Design a digital scrapbook using shapes and images. Arrange objects in layers, and fill shapes with images for added depth and dimension.
You can place an image inside a shape — called an image fill — to add a creative touch to your documents. For example, you could place a portrait inside an oval, or a photo of pine needles inside the tree shape.
