Move or remove a clip. Touch and hold the clip until it pops off the timeline, then drag it to a new location. To remove the clip, drag it out of the timeline, or tap it and tap Trash button.
Shorten or lengthen a clip. Select the clip in the timeline, then drag the yellow trim handles.
Zoom in. Pinch open in the timeline to trim more precisely. Zooming doesn’t affect the duration of the clip.
Split a clip. Position the playhead where you want to split the clip. Select the clip, tap Actions button, then tap Split. You can now adjust each section separately.
Adjust the volume of a clip. Select the clip, tap Audio button, then drag the volume slider. Tap Mute Mute Button to the left of the slider to mute the clip.
Remove awkward pauses and redundant phrases from a recorded interview. Split a clip, then delete the section you don’t want.
Edit video clips to report a news event in a more interesting way. Split a long clip into a series of shorter clips in the timeline, then rearrange them in a new sequence.
If a clip is upside down or sideways, you can rotate it. In the viewer (where the video plays), place your finger and thumb on the video, then turn your hand as if you’re turning a dial.
