Enhance with cinematic effects.

Speed effects and cinematic filters are powerful tools for making engaging, instructional movies. Speed up or slow down a clip to reveal detail, add freeze frames to highlight key moments, and use filters to create a mood.

Apply it.

  • Grab viewer attention at a special moment in an archival film clip. Add a freeze frame at an important moment or at a point that requires contemplation.

  • Make a long process move quickly onscreen to highlight change over time. Speed up a clip of the setup of a school event or science experiment.

Go further.

Turn on “Speed changes pitch” in project settings. This makes the pitch of recorded voices higher when clips are sped up or lower when they’re slowed down.
