Make photos move.

When you add a photo to your project, iMovie applies a smooth pan-and-zoom motion to it called the Ken Burns effect. Customize the effect to help tell your story, gradually revealing important details or zooming in on the most significant part of an image.

Apply it.

  • Focus attention on a specific detail in a photo. Zoom in on what you’re describing, such as a plant cell, historic building, or story scene.

  • Create a movie from a Keynote presentation of a lesson. Export the presentation as images, then import them into a new movie project.

You can capture video clips and photos directly into a project by using the built-in iPad camera. Document a classroom activity in real time and have a finished project before the bell rings.
