The home base for managing all the work on your Mac is the Finder — the main interface for opening and viewing files and folders. Flexible tools for grouping, sorting, and organizing your documents make it easier to keep track of the files you use for classroom projects.

Apply it.

  • Create folders within folders to organize class documents according to subject, project, or grade level.

  • Keep your current work at the top of the list in the Finder. Group items by Date Added.

Go further.

One of the best ways to keep your desktop from becoming too cluttered is by automatically grouping files into stacks organized by kind, date, or tags. Turn stacks on by clicking the desktop, then choosing View , Use Stacks.
