Use Notes to capture quick thoughts, create checklists, sketch ideas, and organize learning resources. It’s great for documenting student observations, scanning a homework assignment, and managing to‑do lists.
Use Notes to capture quick thoughts, create checklists, sketch ideas, and organize learning resources. It’s great for documenting student observations, scanning a homework assignment, and managing to‑do lists.
Create a to‑do list. Open Notes, click the New Note button then type a title. Type the first item on the list, click Checklist , then press Return to add more items.
Add a photo or video. Click the Media button , then choose Photos. Find a photo you want to use from the Photos library window that appears, then drag it to the note.
Attach a file. Drag a PDF document from the desktop or a Finder window to add it to the note.
Pin notes to the top of your notes list. Select one or more notes, and choose File , Pin Note.
Search Notes. Click the magnifying glass in the toolbar, then enter text. All notes with content that matches your search are displayed in the notes list on the left.
Organize notes in folders. Choose View , Show Folders to open the sidebar, then click New Folder to create a folder. Type a name for the folder, then press Return. Drag notes into the folder to organize them by topic or category.
Make a list of class starters. Create a note, add a to‑do list, and fill it with ideas for warm‑up activities.
Add a table to a note to draft future lesson plans. Use different columns to organize your plans by unit or type.
You can take a picture or scan a form or document using your nearby iPhone or iPad and have the photo or scan appear instantly in your notes with Continuity Camera. Scan completed assignments and mark them up, or scan and collect hard copies of resources you want on your Mac.
